We are bringing online birth control via telemedicine to Maryland! Maryland has a strong history of supporting access to reproductive and sexual healthcare.
In 1998, Maryland became the first state to mandate contraceptive coverage, and in 2016, Maryland became the first state to legislate the most comprehensive insurance coverage of birth control in the nation!
In January of 2018, Maryland’s Contraceptive Equity Act went into effect, significantly increasing access by:
However, there are still a ways to go for improving contraceptive access. Nearly 300,000 women in Maryland are in need of publicly funded contraceptive services and supplies. Of these women, 10,060 live in counties without a single health center that provides the full range of birth control methods
Our mission at Twentyeight is to expand access to reproductive and sexual for all, regardless of socioeconomic background. In addition to providing telehealth options to get the pill, patch, ring and emergency contraception, we will be accepting Medicaid, making it even easier for women to get $0 copay contraceptives.
Welcome Maryland!
