Annual awards presented by Rock Health recognize individuals and organizations that are making healthcare better for all
NEW YORK, December 7, 2021 — Twentyeight Health, a telehealth company increasing access to sexual and reproductive care for women from underserved communities, today announced that the co-founder Amy Fan has been recognized on Rock Health’s Annual Top 50 in Digital Health Awards.
“Ever since Bruno Van Tuykom and I started Twentyeight Health in 2018, we’ve been focused on building a company that is helping to advance health equity for reproductive healthcare services,” said Fan. “I am honored to accept this award on behalf of the entire Twentyeight Health team for the progress we’ve made in helping women from underserved communities access birth control.”
Twentyeight Health offers high-quality and affordable prescription and delivery services for the birth control pill, patch, ring, and Plan B. Twentyeight Health accepts Medicaid in many of the states it’s available in — often the only birth control telehealth platform in a state to accept Medicaid — and is working to provide free birth control for women who are not able to pay out of pocket through a partnership with Bedsider’s Contraceptive Access Fund. Twentyeight also donates 2% of revenues to Bedsider, and the National Institute for Reproductive Health.
In 2021, Twentyeight launched a Spanish language platform to make its telehealth services more accessible for over 40 million native Spanish speakers in the US. This year, Twentyeight Health also pursued a 25-state expansion. The company’s telehealth services are now available in 31 states across the US, reaching 85% of women of reproductive age.
