Women who receive birth control through Twentyeight Health can add rapid tests to their orders
NEW YORK, February 24, 2022 — Twentyeight Health, a telehealth company increasing access to sexual and reproductive care for women from underserved communities, today announced that women who receive birth control through Twentyeight Health can now add at-home COVID-19 tests to their deliveries.
“For women from lower-income communities, finding the time and transportation to search for a store where rapid tests are in stock can be a significant burden,” said Amy Fan, co-founder of Twentyeight Health. “With half of Twentyeight Health’s users on Medicaid, we believe that offering rapid tests will help more people access testing that they might not otherwise receive.”
Twentyeight Health is currently offering the ACON Flowflex™ COVID-19 Antigen Home Test, a rapid nasal swab test for the detection of COVID-19. Twentyeight Health’s team will be available seven days a week to assist customers with the information for insurance reimbursement through private insurance or Medicaid, and direct customers to the appropriate online portals to inquire about reimbursement.
